Counseling & Resource
St. Viator Parish School is dedicated to the development of all aspects of students' lives. We believe it is important to educate and nurture the whole child, not just the brain. Social, emotional, and coping skills are developed within our Core Catholic Values and practiced frequently. Students learn about conflict management, respect, compassion, and serving others in a variety of ways. SVS is fortunate to have a full time counselor on campus to work with the students, teachers, and families of our school and church community.
The Specialized Instruction Program, or SIP, provides all students with the tools they need in order to be successful in an academic environment. At St. Viator Parish School, teachers are able to utilize the resource room for help with developing relevant and engaging curriculum, get ideas on how to deal with a challenging situation, or request research on a particular idea or product. A team approach to education is vital and at St. Viator we strive to create an environment of trust and collaboration. Mrs. Barbara Silvestri
