Immunization Requirements for School Attendance
Nevada follows the guidelines issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

All students are required to be current in their immunizations to attend school in state of Nevada. Students who are not up-to-date with their vaccines will be excluded from school.
The new requirements for school attendance for the 2011 - 2012 school year for Nevada:
PreSchool Students: Must have received four (4) doses of Prevnar (pneumococcal) and their 4-year-old booster immunizations.
Seventh Grade Students: Must have received a Tdap vaccination before the start of the 7th grade.
Hepatitis A - All students in the state of Nevada are required to be vaccinated against Hepatitis A.
Varicella - All students must have received two doses of varicella vaccine.
Nevada follows the CDC recommended schedule for childhood vaccines. Your child must have received the following vaccines for school enrollment:
- DTAP: 5 doses
- Polio: 4 doses
- MMR: 2 doses
- Hepatitis B: 3 doses
- Hepatitis A: 2 doses
- Varicella: 2 doses
- Pneumococcal: 4 doses (Preschool children)
- Meningitis: 1 dose, second due prior to 7th grade
- Haemophilis influenzae type B: 4 doses (Age appropriate - Preschool children)
