Principal's Welcome
St. Viator School is an Accredited Coeducational Catholic Parish School through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We are committed to providing a quality Catholic education where the gospel message of Jesus Christ is lived, learned and shared in a safe learning environment. The administrations, faculty, staff, students, parents, clergy, and parish community collaborate to develop the whole person spiritually, morally, academically and physically.
Our program is designed to build a strong academic foundation for life-long learning. Woven into our school days are activities and prayer designed to nurture a love of God and a passion for Christian service.
Elementary school is an important and unforgettable time, and for many of our students it is the most time they will spend at any one school or college. They will build lasting memories and loving friendships during their years here.
"Catholic School: Dividends for life” This year’s theme infuses our mission of learning, sharing and living the gospel. The theme also enhances our school’s theme “Get an Attitude like Jesus!” This year during our three semesters we will be reflecting on the St Viator Student Learning Expectations: First: Faithful Catholics, Second: Life -long Learners, Third: Responsible and Caring Citizen. We strive to adapt and adjust our curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the learning styles and abilities of each of our students.
At Saint Viator School we believe that parents are the primary educators of their children and are extremely active in the school. Many parents dedicate their time and talents to our school. Parents have many opportunities to serve the school as members of the Foundation Board, the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Board, and the School Board or volunteering of their time and talents
Our past and present success in all we do would not be possible without the significant ministries of St. Viator staff. I am inspired daily by their commitment to teach as Jesus did—by their care and concern for our children—by the extensive time and energy they give to their teaching—to the many co-curricular programs and to their own professional development. All of our teachers are degreed and certified in their field and many members have Master Degrees and Catechist Certification. We have a full-time nurse and counselor, as well as part-time Educational Specialist and eight teacher’s aides to assist us in our mission to adjust and adapt our curriculum and teaching strategies to meet to abilities and learning styles of our students.
My 45 years of ministry in Catholic Education has included 34 years as a teacher, principal and assistant superintendent in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Ohio. In closing it has been my privilege to serve as principal of St. Viator Parish School for the last 11 years.
